Pedal Assistance System
A Pedal Assistance System is a device that senses your pedalling and makes your kit give automatic assistance, i.e. you do not have to press the throttle throughout your journey. This is included as standard with the 500w & 1000w kits.

Pedal Assist Sensor & Your Bikes Bottom Bracket:
This is the area where the pedals go through the frame. Our pedal assist sensors fit square taper bottom brackets and threaded bottoms brackets.

If your bike has a Square Taper Bottom Bracket or Threaded Bottom Bracket, you don't need to do anything as this is the standard sensor size.
If your bike has a Press Fit Bottom Bracket, get in touch as this sensor won't fit.
We can recommend an alternative kit for you if you want to use your bike on public roads.

Use of the 500w & 1000w Mode
Please note that to ride the bike on the public highway the system must be set to 250w mode. We will send you instructions on how to select 500w or 1000w mode after you have signed and returned a Derestriction Agreement form to us - this essentially says that it is your responsibility to ensure that the correct mode has been selected for public highway use.
