Please note a motor output exceeding 250w and speed assistance exceeding 15.5mph means it cannot be used on UK public roads without first obtaining type approval, insurance, tax, displaying a number plate and undergoing an MOT.
In the UK, only converison kits that comply with EAPC Regulations can be used on UK public roads without tax, insurance or registration. A conversion kit above 250W can only be used off-road on private land.

For the avoidance of doubt, you will be responsible for obtaining such type approval, insurance, tax, registration and MOT.
Once a kit has been fitted, a refund can't be processed as the item has been used.

Cycle to work Scheme
The Cycle to Work Scheme is a Government-backed initiative to encourage people to cycle to their place of work, and consequently reduce environmental pollution. It's also a way for you to save money on the cost of your cycle and spread the cost over a number of months, through your pay packet.
How do I get a conversion kit through Cycle to Work?
If they haven't already, your employer needs to register with one of the Cycle to Work Schemes in order to offer this benefit to their employees. Once they are signed up with a scheme, the employee needs to find a cycle retailer who is also registered with that scheme.
Electric Bike Conversions is registered with four of these schemes - Bike2Work, Cycle Scheme, Green Commute Initiative and CyclePlus. You'll see our name listed on each of these schemes such as Earth Cycles or Bike Bros. These are other names we trade under, but we are the same company.
The paperwork required differs for each scheme and should be available from your employer or from the links below for each scheme:
Once the necessary paperwork is completed you will usually be issued with a certificate by your employer or Cycle to Work Scheme that you can use to purchase the kit from us. Your employer pays for the conversion kit via the scheme and the scheme then pays us for the purchase once you have collected the kit and provided us with your certificate.
If the kit is being delivered or installed by us, we can receive the certificate digitally. We'll also sometimes ask for proof of ID, depending on the scheme. The cost of the bike is then deducted from your salary over a period of time, but as you don't pay tax or NI on the income that's deducted, you make a saving on what you would pay if you purchased outright. This saving will vary depending on which tax band you fall into!
Due to the cost of running the Cycle To Work Schemes we have to add a 10% fee on top of the kit price, otherwise we cannot afford to be apart of the scheme. Sorry for the inconvenience.

ROTOR CORE & MOTOR
With mechanically retained magnets inside the CYC motors, they are designed to reach high RPMs without failing under heat stress.
Not only are the magnets mechanically secured but CYC used high grade quality magnets that can withstand up to 180 degrees Celsius. Much more than the motor will reach during your ride allowing for ease of mind during any conditions.
The X1 Stealth motor is equipped with a SPM rotor to optimize the efficiency and torque with the small form factor. To prevent the magnet loosening, the magnets are mechanically retained by the sleeve in the rotor. They are named the Gen 3 rotor.
ISIS SPLINED CRANKSET
Ensuring you have a durable crankset is crucial to any ebike. The new integrated torque sensing module has made it possible for us to give you back the ISIS splined crankset so you can rest at ease knowing that no matter how hard you pedal, your crankset will stay secure.
The bottom bracket bearings are now fully sealed to ensure maximum reliability with outdoor use.
